Week of the Young Child
Celebrate Early Childhood. April 5th-11th
Week of the Young Child is a national celebration originally started by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The purpose is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families while also highlighting programs that meet those needs. It’s also a way celebrate families, caregivers, and children by recognizing that Early childhood (birth to eight years of age) is one of the most impactful times in a person’s life and the experiences one has during this time (positive or negative) has lasting outcomes for the rest of life. When a community can come together to create Positive Childhood Experiences and advocate for healthy family and parent-child relationships, we are creating healthier more connected communities!
